ONE-OFF RATES

ONGOING CONTRACT RATES

Terms/Conditions/FAQ's

What are your rates based on?

Rates have been based on the minimum rate under the Live Performance Award for a Technical Manager, who is indicated as someone above the Production and Support Staff Live Performance Employee Level 8 standard, which is outlined as:

  • an employee who has obtained a relevant tertiary qualification together with extensive theatrical experience or equivalent skill and competence acquired through extensive theatrical experience.

  • demonstrates effective and efficient use of production and/or organisational resources, by planning, implementing and monitoring achievement of objectives;

  • responsible for the creating and maintaining of a high level of team work and co-operation and contributes to the overall good management of a production; and

  • co-ordinates and controls either the overall performance activities or a variety of related disciplines.

The following indicative tasks which an employee at this level may perform are subject to the employee having appropriate trade and post trade training or equivalent experience to enable the employee to perform the particular indicative tasks:

  • provides advice and guidance to staff, management and clients;

  • prepares correspondence, guidelines and reports;

  • demonstrates superior communication and/or liaison skills;

  • demonstrates superior knowledge of relevant terminology;

  • reliably represents the work unit;

  • responsible for creative planning and the achievement of design standards;

  • recognises the importance of consistency, timeliness, correctly following procedures, and responsiveness to the client’s needs; and

  • demonstrates accountability and responsibility for enabling the achievement of business goals within budgetary guidelines.

Our rates also take into account the casual nature of this work, with a loading to cover annual and sick leave provisions, and compulsory payments for superannuation at the current rate of 11.5%.

What is a one-off rate?

Our one-off rates are a great introduction to the support and services we provide, giving us a chance to prove ourselves to people we have not worked with before, with no requirement for an ongoing commitment.

These rates are perfect for those smaller tasks or jobs where you just need to get a task off your "to-do list", or if you need a more intensive job fulfilled at short notice, and don't have the means to contract a staff member just for one week.

What is an ongoing contract rate?

Our ongoing contract rate requires a minimum commitment of 4 weeks at the weekly allocated number of hours, and allows for tasks that will require hours of assistance to be spread across a period of time, whether it be pre-production, rehearsal period, performance period, or post-production.

Do you offer different packages of time?

We are happy to negotiate a package that meets your requirements for the time spent on support and tasks along similar costings to those presented. Please get in touch with us to ask for a quote based on your needs.

What are your payment terms?

"By the hour" and "by the day" rates require full payment in advance of work commencing.

"By the week" rate requires 50% deposit prior to work commencing, and balance of payment within 7 days of work being completed.

For our ongoing contract rates, a payment of 25% of the total contract price in advance of the first week is required, with weekly payments required within 7 days of each week concluding.
